Founding Story

Rooted in Community, Growing Together

Flowery Grove Montessori School was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to create a place where children are seen as capable, curious, and full of potential. Our founders — passionate educators and parents — recognized the need for a high-quality Montessori program that felt like home.

Over the years, we have grown into a beloved community school where families return generation after generation. Our name reflects our belief — like flowers in a grove, every child blooms at their own pace, in their own time, with the right environment and care.

Today, we proudly serve children ages 18 months to 6 yearsin our Toddler and Primary programs, with a dedicated team of certified Montessori educators, a nature-rich campus, and a deep commitment to each child's whole development.

Our Mission

To nurture the whole child — mind, body, and spirit — through authentic Montessori education in a safe, beautiful, and inclusive environment where every child is known, respected, and celebrated.

Our Vision

A world where every child begins their educational journey with joy, confidence, and an unquenchable curiosity — and where schools are sanctuaries of wonder, discovery, and belonging.

Philosophy

The Montessori Method

Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori over 100 years ago and validated by decades of research, the Montessori approach is one of the most effective educational methods in the world.

1

The Prepared Environment

Every element of our classrooms is intentionally designed — from child-sized furniture to carefully arranged materials — to invite independence and exploration.

2

Child-Led Learning

Children choose their own work within a structured environment. This fosters intrinsic motivation, deep focus, and a genuine love of discovery.

3

Mixed Age Groups

Older children mentor younger ones; younger children are inspired by their peers. This natural community mirrors real-world social dynamics.

4

Hands-On Materials

Montessori materials are self-correcting and tactile — turning abstract concepts into concrete experiences that children can touch, manipulate, and master.
